With Pollo front and center in their name, I had to go with the flagship chicken meal---Pollo a la Parilla. I wanted chicken on the bone, marinated in a way I cannot duplicate at home. It was spot on. Flavors were more than subtle, but when our host brought a small dish of a tomatillo-based salsa, gave me a knowing look, and said very matter-o'-factly, 'This is for your chicken,' who....the....hell was I to disagree? So rewarded. It took that Asado completely over the top, with tang and brightness. Funny thing was another tomatillo salsa the Wifey had with her street tacos was even better. This place is what you want your Mex experience to be, every time...
For the price. This is an excellent small local restaurant. Perfect shredded beef in the dish. The house hot sauce is good with a little kick. Beans are perfect. Not dry or overcooked like almost everywhere else. And the staff They are ALL so friendly. My cost is only higher as I had a margarita also. Perfectly made to sip with the lunch special.
Amazing food! Great service! Carne asada was cooked to perfection. Rice and beans were on point. Flour tortillas seemed handmade but I'm not 100% on that. They were good though! Servings were big. My family loved it. We will be going back!
We were in town for Apple Blossom and saw they were close to our hotel with a good rating. They impressed us from the bean dip and salsa to the amazing food! We recommended it to all the locals who hadn't been there yet and plan to go back next year!
We were in Wenatchee for two nights and ate dinner here for both because it was THAT GOOD. The first night we went in person, second night we ordered doordash to our hotel. The food showed up hot, well packaged, and as good as it was in person. Bonus points for the kind staff that reached out to me directly about a note I made, ensuring everything was accurate. My favorite thing was the chile relleno, and the complimentary chips and salsa with the doordash order was a nice surprise. We'll be back whenever we're in town- thank you!
First time visiting Pollo Alegre Mexican Grill. We went for lunch while visiting family in Wenatchee. We were greeted immediately and promptly seated. The restaurant is not large, but has ample seating. It even has a small "bar" area. Our group mostly ordered from the lunch menu. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be served, after ordering. I couldn't wait to taste my food, then remembered I should have taken a photo. I had ordered the lunch, one combo meal, choosing the tamale with black beans and rice. The price was right and the serving size was generous. The food, very good. All of our food was good. All were of generous portions size. I really like the place. And the service provided was excellent. I would recommend a visit.
If you want authentic Mexican food you’ve found your place! Walking in the restaurant you’ll hear the staff singing and loads of laughter I loved it! Staff help each other out which is a Chili verde and the combination fajita plate pictured. Bill for 2 with 2 beers and strawberry margarita 62.
We love coming to Pollo Alegre! Especially for their happy hour 3-6 everyday. We’ve gotten tacos, enchiladas, wings, chimichangas and more and everything has been delicious. Service is always excellent! One of the best Mexican spots in Wenatchee.
